On October 4, the UFRJ Science Park promotes an event to discuss the limits and application possibilities of the new legal landmark of Science Technology and Innovation (Law 13.243/16). The debate will have the participation of representatives from the federal, state and municipal governments, as well as from institutions, such as Firjan and the Innovation Managers and Technology Transfer National Forum (Fórum Nacional de Gestores de Inovação e Transferência de Tecnologia – Fortec). Altogether, nine laws were modified according to the code, which had been discussed for five years with the scientific and entrepreneurial community. The new legal landmark shows significant advances for the sector by fostering the relationship of the STIs (scientific and technological research institutions) with private companies and reducing bureaucracy in the management of innovation-related processes.
