On March 22, the Minister of Science and Technology, Marcos Pontes, visited LabOceano, a laboratory housed at the UFRJ Science Park. LabOceano holds the deepest tank in the world to sample structure and equipment models used in the oil and gas offshore exploration and production. The visit was part of the Minister’s scheduled activities in Rio de Janeiro, which also included the opening lecture of Coppe/UFRJ titled “Scientific, Technological and Innovation Challenges in Brazil”.
