On April 5, the UFRJ Science Park opened its coworking space with an event which promoted a debate on university entrepreneurship and its relevance for the fostering of innovation and creative economy. In addition to representatives of the Park’s companies and of UFRJ innovation movements, the congressman Otávio Leite was also present at the event, when he reported on his activities to develop initiatives aimed at entrepreneurship in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The coworking space in the Park will have a working area of around 313,5m² divided in 40 workplaces for private use, as well as a meeting room and socializing spaces. The originality of this initiative is the possibility to increase networking and business by interacting with large, small and medium-sized companies already located in the Park.
