On August 27, the new group of the startups acceleration program Crowd Rio started. This is a program developed by the UFRJ Science Park in a partnership with Telefónica Open Future. During the official opening ceremony of the program, members of the 9 projects that were selected attended a lecture delivered by Professor Marcus Cavalcanti, from the Center of Reference in Entrepreneurial Intelligence, and they could also exchange experiences with the participants of the first edition of the program. CrowdRio aims at fostering the local talent and encouraging youths with entrepreneurial vocation to put into practice their initiatives. The entrepreneurs will have access to a highly specialized mentorship program, social network and infrastructure.
