On September 21, the UFRJ Science Park and the School of Fine Arts (EBA/UFRJ) opened the Short Circuit Gallery of Public Art. It is an outdoor exhibit, sponsored by Vallourec, and it consists of art works made by both students and professors from EBA and by internationally renowned artists. Besides, it will also hold a pavilion with interventions created by the School of Architecture and Landscaping (FAU/UFRJ) and 24 sculptures from the exhibition “Memories of the River Dolphin” (“Memórias do Boto”) hosted in 2015. The project’s aim is to turn the Park into an area of experimentation of art combined with technology and innovation. Check for details and localization of the works at the website. The guided tours happen from Monday to Friday, from 9 am until 5 pm and can be scheduled by writing an email to curtocircuito@parque.ufrj.br. The video about the Gallery is available here.
