The COPPE/UFRJ Business Incubator announced the arrival of two new companies, that can be incubated for three years, extendable for two more years. The companies will have access to the Incubator’s physical and technological infrastructure, as well as assistance and training to turn their business feasible. With the arrival of the new startups, the Incubator now has 26 residents. Vortex Mundus Consultancy was one of the selected companies. It is currently developing the Brazilian Integrated Operational Model (MOBI) to aid the Oil and Gas industry by facilitating and reducing the costs of environmental licensing as well as of contingencies in case of accidents. Another selected company is called Mancha, a Zebu spinoff, which is focused on developing educational and children’s products that are water-based and use vegetable pigments so as to avoid synthetic chemical products.
