The UFRJ Science Park launched, in a partnership with PR-2 (Pro-Rectory of Graduate Studies and Research), the Academic doctorate program for Innovation (DAI UFRJ – Academic Doctorate for Innovation), with the collaboration of nine companies and the financial support from CNPq. The DAI UFRJ aims to strengthen research, entrepreneurship and innovation at the university by getting doctorate students involved in projects of interest of the business sector, establishing partnerships with innovative companies. The companies participating in the program are: Braskem, Promec, Toco, MJV, Petrec, Vortex, Neopath, Globalyeast and Instituto de Biologia Molecular do Paraná (Paraná Institute of Molecular Biology).
