In the beginning of December, the UFRJ Science Park participated in a mission of Brazilian science parks to Russia, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a partnership with Anprotec and the Brazilian embassy in Moscow. The mission aimed at bringing the Brazilian and the Russian ecosystems closer, fostering the partnership between the countries and the local parks, as well as promoting cooperation to develop technology-based companies and startups. The meeting’s goal was also to make progress in the discussions to establish a partnership that will allow to create a softlanding program – exchange program between Brazilian and Russian companies. The activity was part of a joint effort to construct and expand activities related to the program “Diplomacy of Innovation 2019” (“Diplomacia da Inovação 2019”) and the IBRICS Network for innovation – an international network of innovation environments that intends to support joint projects between countries and exchange the best practices between science and technological parks, incubators and accelerators of technology-based SMEs and other innovative organizations of the BRIC countries.
