Biotecam, a resident startup at COPPE/UFRJ Business Incubator, LAA – Laboratório de Atividades do Amanhã (Laboratory of Tomorrow`s Activities), at the Museu do Amanhã, and the multicultural plataform The Cluster, started a partnership for carrying out the “Technology in Fashion Program”. The Project gathered microbiology scientists, 3D printing experts, sensorial electronics and fashion specialists to promote workshops aiming at developing and experimenting new production processes of clothes and functional accessories using biofabrics. The startup developed biological fabrics, produced by bacteria. The costume pieces created by the participants can be seen by the public during the next LAA exhibition opening July 14.
