Over 50 people were present in a meeting, promoted by the Park in late November, in which the experts Marco Tulio Castro (Assespro and VTEX) and Rodrigo Cantarino (Law School – UFRJ) discussed the Data Protection General Law. Passed in August 2018, the law will be in force in 18 months. During the debate the participants had the opportunity to clarify doubts and discuss the challenges that the law will raise, such as the difficulties that the companies will have in protecting data and the impact thereof in the marketplaces.
