On May 9, the UFRJ Science Park hosts the awarding event for the five best works developed in the Graduate Programs of the University about Affirmative Actions. The award, a partnership of the Pro-Rector’s Office for Postgraduate and Research (PR 2) and the UFRJ Science Park, aims at acknowledging the most qualified academic works with social impact carried out in the UFRJ Graduate programs and that deal with data related to the inclusion of marginalized groups or proposals of actions that aim at improving the life quality of these groups. The UFRJ Affirmative Actions will grant cash awards of R$ 7 thousand, R$ 3 thousand and R$ 2 thousand, respectively, for the first three best works and of R$ 1 thousand for two works deserving honorable mentions. Criteria include the novelty and innovation of the work as well as the depth of the analysis and potential for practical application.
