On Tuesday, January 9, the UFRJ Science Park kick started its planning of events for 2018 with two lectures about programs for innovative startups. At 2 pm. at the Park’s auditorium, the logistics company VLI presented a program for open innovation called Inova VLI which is looking for solutions in several areas of the company. VLI has identified five different challenges and wants to hire a pilot project for each one with the winning startups. At 4 pm, Alexandre Cabral, a representative of Finep (Studies and Projects Financial Supporter), gave a lecture about the second round of the Finep Startup program. He talked about the areas covered by the tender, the stages of the selection process as well as about the rules, and participants could ask further questions about the tender. These two events were broadcast live through the internet and are available on the Facebook page of the Park.
